Water Tower Elevation: A Chic Condo Transformation in Chicago

What the Client Wanted

The client sought a comprehensive condo remodel located in Chicago’s prestigious Water Tower district. Their desire was to revamp the kitchen, bathrooms, entry hall, flooring, and laundry room, placing emphasis on the kitchen’s functionality and space.

Special Considerations

The original kitchen was cramped, lacking room for an island or adequate prep spaces. There was a need to create a cohesive flow between the kitchen and the living spaces, ensuring easy transitions for entertainment, while also providing the option to maintain privacy when desired.

Our Solution

Our team set to work on a transformative redesign. The kitchen was reimagined with a transitional style, introducing a waterfall thickened mitered edge island that became a standout feature. An enlarged opening was crafted to connect the kitchen seamlessly with the dining room, enhancing the flow between spaces. French doors were added, offering the option to close off the kitchen when privacy was sought. Moreover, the master bathroom was given a contemporary overhaul, styled as a spa sanctuary with a steam shower and elegant marble wall cladding. The final result of this Chicago condo remodel embodies the essence of sophisticated city living, combining functionality with chic design elements.

The kitchen, once confined, moved to the heart of the home, allowing dining for 8 in the old kitchen space, a huge a casual cafe banquet and adjacent to a larger family room and sunroom with floor to ceiling windows. A new mudroom answered the call of bustling family life, and a spacious master closet and dressing area offer.
